Let the free time begin!
I am sad and excited to say that I was let go from a job I have worked for about 4 1/2 years. Yesterday was my last day and I kept a brave face on until I left the office for the last time all alone.... It was strangely melancholy. Like an old friend I wouldn't be seeing anymore...... But like I have told everyone my God has a plan for me and I will not allow myself to doubt THE ultimate plan for me! My God is a God who loves. He never said there wouldn't be fires.... He just promised he would always pull me through. So I have faith in my God. With all of this being said I am also having a hard time containing my excitement! I now have the time to do exactly what I need to get my sewing jazz in order. Behold the power of time!

Norman Marketplace
GeoTagged, [N35.23405, E97.43479]
I cannot tell you how many times I have passed Norman Marketplace on I-35. And every time I pass it, I tell Cj how much I really want to go! So one lonely Saturday I was feeling creative and decided to get out and look for ideas. The first place on my list Norman Marketplace!
If you've never been there, let me tell you, you are MISSING out!!! It is the perfect blend of cite home decor, modern accessories, antiques and the cutest baby jazz in the back! And bonus, the owner was so nice! I picked up these "sipping jars" for super cheap! They were the perfect accent for my mantle!! You should really check them out!
Feelin creative
It seems that I get in my most creative mindset when I have absolutely no time to create..... Which, needless to say, is extremely disappointing! Lately I have been swamped with school and an extremely busy schedule at work so I, of course, have felt most creative! Lol I have been using any fleeting moments to create something I love. I think I've been successful! Here is a sneak peek of a project I have worked on!

Goodwill
Dear Goodwill,
I'm in LOVE.
Sarah
I have fallen in love with Goodwill! I have been trying to piece stuff together and here are some of the GEMS I have found at my neighborhood Goodwill!
Ok so the first one is this frame. It was $1.50! It was originally white but I have been really addicted to this color called Jade. So I went to Wal-mart got the spray paint and got to work.

The Next one I am absolutely in love with. It was originally gold and I got it for $1. Which I loved but like I said I am totally addicted to this Jade color so it got painted too! lol
This next one is a little different. It is a little stand of sorts that I got for only $.50 but I really just wanted to add some hight to my mantle so it does the job. I should also mention that I am trying to incorporate more teals and shades of blue (which I think is why I have gotten stuck on Jade)
Next is a super cute cast iron candle holder. It was really dirty but for $2.50 I would be happy to clean it, paint it, and add it to my living room!
Last, but certainly not least are these gems! They were only $7 for the pair! Oh goodness they just had to be mine! With a little elbow grease, I'm sure I can have them sparkling like brand new!
I am thinking I had a pretty successful afternoon at Goodwill! Now where to put them all.........
lol
Happy Crafting!

But those are just ideas for now...... Now I'll start posting some of the things I have been up to.

Oh so much fun Key Fobs!!!
So I saw these super cute key fobs at this local boutique and decided instantly that I needed to have one but waaaay cuter! So I got crackin! I got some cotton webbing....(for super cheap)
and cut it into the lengths that I thought would work best for the key fobs....
and then I picked out some extra fabric I had just layin around.....
and had to do some SERIOUS searching for the hardware!!!
It only took about 2 hours total to get all 15 done! I LOVE THEM!
here is my FAVORITE (wink wink thats my keys already attached!) lol
you can really see the loop on this next picture!
and now here are the rest of them:
I'm not gonna lie, the worst part about the project was searching for the hardware but all together this was the easiest project ever! Now what to do with the other 14?! lol
Happy Creating!

Its official, Autumn is here!
There is just something in the air once Autumn arrives. I am like a giddy little kid again. I just want to be outside in the crispy cool air..... in a hoodie and sweats around a campfire! I LOVE it. Quite frankly, I love October! So Happy October 1st!
In honor of crispy cool air and autumn I decided to crochet! (this also came while I was hunting for lamp shades at Hobby Lobby I found some yarn that is usually 20.00 and I got it for 5.99! Woo Hoo! ) So while Cj was consumed with the latest college football game I let my mind wander and crochet it was just nice!
So here is what I started out with ....
a cute little hat and a scarf! I decided it was a little too boring for me so I got some left over yarn from another project and decided to add a little detail to the hat....

Ok, so in the picture it looks like I added a little tumor to my hat but I swear in real life it looks like a flower! Besides I am in LOVE with my new hat and scarf.... I may add a little something to the scarf as well, just to tie them together... I don't know we will see!
Anyways, Happy Creating!
